I arrived eRly on a Saturday morning, I was seen straightaway, everyone was so kind and empathetic, Jayne the audiologist was great she fully understood my situation with my inner ear disease, she made me feel supported. sadly the wait is 6-8months for a hearing aid, hopefully it will be shorter.
I would highly recommend the department for their care and support.
People were respectful and kind and information and advice was clear and detailed. We were seen in advance of the appointment time so very little waiting. A truly excellent service
RHEUMATOLOGY DEPART ALWAYS VERY HELP . IN THE DEPARTMENT AND ON THE PHONE
AMANDA FINNEGAN SPECIALIST NURSE VERY PATIENCE NOTHING IS TO MUCH TROUBLE FOR HER WHEN YOU ARE WITH HER .
All staff showed compassion and care at all times. Very attentive. Reassured me about all decisions made regarding my health. Would highly recommend to others if they needed similar care. Couldn't fault anything!!!!
The tea rounds and food were good.
Healthcare team were friendly.
The department were not pro active in providing information updates.
Pharmacy rounds took too long. 5 hrs from doctor to prescribing drugs to collecting before discharge.
Orthopaedic nurses were not very personable at all.
I did not see my surgeon post op, and was unable to read his op report. This should be electronic.
Your staff were very good, compassionate and empathetic.
I have a small complaint that my appointment was for 8.30.and although I arrived on time but I was not seen until after 11.This delay was standard practice as the appointment time was not linked to the surgery list and I was told when I arrived that I would not be seen until after 11 as I was last on the list. If I had been told this earlier both myself and my wife could have used the morning more effectively as we both had work to do.
I attended the audiology clinic at 2.20 pm on 31 January. The appointment had been arranged in a reasonable time and I was seen more or less on time.
Throughout I was treated with respect, the audiologist was a good listener and explained things about the procedures as necessary to me. She was particularly good in explaining the results of the test.
With my procedure occurring in the radiology day case unit, I actually spent most of my time there. As I arrived in the harbour suite G5, there were no beds available, so I changed into the gown and was transported to radiology. Staff were good and apologetic and looked after my things and all was fine. After the procedure, I was wheeled back up to the ward but again, there was no room and so I was taken all the way back to radiology for another 45 minutes or so, causing the Dr some alarm as he placed me again, thinking there might have been bleeding, etc. for me to be back again. I was eventually returned to G5 and offered tea and snack, having missed lunch, but that was fine. Overall, I was able to compare the two nursing staffs and felt the radiology unit was more switched on and perhaps genuine and the G5 folks were nice but just that bit procedural.
Top quality care.
I was a doctor previously working in their department and ended up needing a long stay after a difficult delivery and my baby being unwell. I never realised just how amazing the care is until I experienced it from a patient perspective. Every single person on B7 was so kind and caring and just always ready to offer support where it was needed from the doctors to the MSWs, the cleaners, the food service staff, the midwives.
What I really loved was the care the midwives showed me and they were always so lovely checking in on me that I was ok psychologically and physically . When I went through a tough patch they were always ready with a listening ear and a hug.
My baby was in very safe hands as they were always on the ball with what needed to be done for him and when.
I am forever indebted to the the staff at QA and the QA itself for making such a testing time a lot easier.
lovely quiet room with friendly and efficient staff.
