With my procedure occurring in the radiology day case unit, I actually spent most of my time there. As I arrived in the harbour suite G5, there were no beds available, so I changed into the gown and was transported to radiology. Staff were good and apologetic and looked after my things and all was fine. After the procedure, I was wheeled back up to the ward but again, there was no room and so I was taken all the way back to radiology for another 45 minutes or so, causing the Dr some alarm as he placed me again, thinking there might have been bleeding, etc. for me to be back again. I was eventually returned to G5 and offered tea and snack, having missed lunch, but that was fine. Overall, I was able to compare the two nursing staffs and felt the radiology unit was more switched on and perhaps genuine and the G5 folks were nice but just that bit procedural.
