I am having great trouble getting my prescriptions, I use the online system as requested by the surgery, but often my requests are just ignored. The receptionists will say they didn't receive my request until I show them the confirmation email sent by the surgery themselves. Even then there is no apology. They just say they will issue it the same day. My medications include anti-psychotics so you can imagine how vital it is that my prescription requests are not ignored. I also had blood test results 'go missing' from the surgery. Getting an appointment is hard. The GPS themselves are wonderful and without reproach, they are the only reason I stay.
I received a letter to book a Flu vaccination which I tried to do. The receptionist was extremely rude and shouted down the phone that there were no appointments available for Sat.3rd Oct. nor 5th Oct.and put the phone down on me. This is certainly not the behaviour one would expect. I phoned again and spoke to another receptionist who made me a date and time but unfortunately I was so upset by this whole procedure I haven't made a note of the day & time!!!
Called at 8:30am to try get an appointment and was told I'm 36th in a queue got through at 9.19PM only to have the call cut off. I tried again then got through after 11 callers to have the call cut off again. Am trying the Flu Vaccine line in the hopes of just getting some help now if I fail I"ll try get to A&E
The doctors and staff are great when you get through
Very unhelpful rude admin staff putting phone down so unprofessional saying go on complain if you wa t to bern referred on a cancer pathway been lost in system gp doesn’t want to know very upsetting worst doctor surgery ever
I called at the surgery, the main door is locked(!) a queue had to wait to be fetched by the respective dept/surgery? After a long wait to enter, I managed to drop a letter with my blood pressure readings and request for 2 items, one to replace a existing medication, drops were not working so the chemist suggested a cream instead, and another item but was told the surgery cannot deal with the written request and that i must go to the practice's online access. Each time I tried, this message crops up "Geocode was not successful for the following reason: REQUEST_DENIED"
Frankly this practice is making it as awkward as possible. Is it really reasonable to expect, after a written letter was handed in, to reject same and insist only an online request is acceptable? I cannot say there is a hive of activity inside the entire surgery but who know, perhaps everyone is off thanks to covid (?!) It is utterly baffling...
