I am having great trouble getting my prescriptions, I use the online system as requested by the surgery, but often my requests are just ignored. The receptionists will say they didn't receive my request until I show them the confirmation email sent by the surgery themselves. Even then there is no apology. They just say they will issue it the same day. My medications include anti-psychotics so you can imagine how vital it is that my prescription requests are not ignored. I also had blood test results 'go missing' from the surgery. Getting an appointment is hard. The GPS themselves are wonderful and without reproach, they are the only reason I stay.

Suggested improvements
More care needs to be taken with prescription requests, there needs to be an alert on the system for people with illnesses that may cause them to become extremely ill should they not get their medications, when a prescription IS missed, an automatic phone call with a doctor should be booked to check on the health of that patient in light of the lack of medication. The admin staff/receptionists urgently need some serious customer service training, or simply to act with basic manners and a bit of human consideration.
