A recent prostate cancer diagnosis left me devastated and I needed to start hormone therapy immediately before commencing radiotherapy. I would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Catshill Village Surgery for their understanding, kindness and support.
In particular I would like to thank Dr Goodfellow for referring me to hospital after what was only a slightly raised PSA. Alison Wheeler for her understanding and kindness when attending the surgery for information and appointments. Kathryn, the surgery Pharmacist, for advice, guidance and reassurance about the medication prescribed.
Miss Wilson for her time, patience and support in helping me understand the diagnosis, process and treatment.
Without their help I would not have got to this stage and now have hope for the success of my forthcoming treatment.
Thank you all so much.
I had a cafter fitted at the Alexander hospital on 31.12.24. Spoke with reception on pre orders for equipment. I was treated with dignity and respect. Advice and guidance moving forward was useful. Very grateful to find such good health care and friendly staff kind regards.
Moving to Bromsgrove 7 years ago with my partner, we have received the best service we have ever had from Catshill village surgery. Always a short wait on the telephone to be answered by a lovely team of receptionists. We have never had to wait to get an appointment, generally on the same day.
All the doctors and nurses have given us the best advice/treatment. Especially during COVID! My partner had found 2 moles that we were both unsure of! On day 1 we contacted the surgery. By 11am we had a call from the doctor requesting us to send photos of our concerns. By 5pm on the same day we had a call from the Kidderminster hospital requesting he go to an appointment the following day at 7pm. Wow! It turned out my partner had melanoma in 2 places!!
Thank you to all. I would say this surgery is outstanding.
Not one for leaving reviews, but thoroughly deserved in this case.
Moved to the area a few years ago and feel incredibly fortunate to have registered with such a good GP surgery, particularly when I hear of friends or family who have issues getting appointments or a good standard of care.
We have 2 young children so have had a number of appointments for various illnesses, as well as appointments for ourselves.
Never an issue in booking an appointment for the same day, and have never had to wait long on arrival.
Issues have always been resolved and always feel reassured with the guidance we’ve been given. Getting prescriptions sent directly to the local pharmacy makes the process very easy.
The care we have received has been top notch every time and the doctors we have seen have always been very patient, helpful and knowledgeable.
Dr Goodfellow taking my unwell daughter’s toy bunny’s temperature before hers to make her feel more at ease with the thermometer is a good example of the emphasis on quality patient care!
Drs Bloxham and Barrett have also been excellent, as have every other member of the surgery we have had contact with.
I visited the surgery today - 01.12.23 - I made an appointment over the phone for an asthma review, in which the receptionist kindly pre-booked me in for my appointment, which I have never had before at a surgery and is so efficient and works brilliant around my work schedule.
I saw Kathryn, the clinical pharmacist, she was honestly so great. From start to finish, professional, helpful, understanding and she sent my prescription straight through to the pharmacy and I collected on the day.
Thank you so much for all your help. I made the best decision in switching to this doctors.
