I am a regular visitor to the surgery and am totally satisfied with the level of care received. Frequent visits to see Sister Sue Gribble can only be described as excellent in respect of her professionalism and patient care. All of the doctors I have seen at the surgery have been caring and helpful in every respect.

An overall excellent practice. Have been with the practice for 23yrs and during that time the care, treatment, support and professionalism for myself and members of my family has been exemplary. I would like to say a huge thank you to a wonderful team.

I know your policy is not to accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions, but I would like you to review this. My mother is 91 and is a patient at the surgery and I (her daughter ) live in Manchester, she recently needed some more of her medicine and tried to order it by phone. Obviously she couldn't so she had to make a special journey to request the prescription she is not good at walking and uses an electric mobility scooter, which she is wary of using when it is windy. She has no internet, and her prescriptions are delivered to her by the local chemist so she does not have to go out for them. I can forsee some issues in the future when her health deteriorates further. Thank you

When I listen to colleagues, friends and family talk of their experiences at the doctor's I feel fortunate to be a patient at Bilbrook. Whenever I call to make an appointment the receptionists do their best to arrange times to fit around my work commitments. On this particular visit I was booked in to see nurse Sue, who made me feel at ease. She performed some routine checks as well as the procedure and asked if I required a chaperone. She was also able to provide information about travel vaccines when I asked. I later was able to continue the process with the receptionist. All I need do now is allow the travel specialist nurse time to check injections required and ring again to book my next appointment. Thank you to the staff that make an effort to provide the best care when we need it most.

I have been suffering with a virus that has progressed quickly and made me quite poorly. After concerns from the walk in and my own GP I followed instructions to find I still have not gotten rid of this virus. I am now suffering with chest problems and have been told the next appointment I can book is in April, today being 14-03-16... Very poor indeed I will be taking this further.

Response from Bilbrook Medical Centre

We are sorry for your experience. Whilst there is a wait for pre-bookable appointments, there are same day appointments that are opened up for our Doctors every morning at 8am. We also have a doctor each day who sees patients that 'need to be seen that day'. To understand what happened in your case we would really appreciate the opportunity to investigate further. If you could give our Practice Manager a call or write in with more details this would enable us to see what happened.
