From the start, Professional Lloyd was fantastic, listening to me and explaining the ultrasound findings in layman terms so I understood. He was exceptional and after the surgery explained what he did and that I needed an additional MRI scan and why. As I had to stay in overnight after my operation, he made sure he saw me again before I was discharged the following morning and answered further questions with understanding and always gave me plenty of time to reassure me. On the follow up appointment after my MRI scan, Prof Lloyd explained the findings thoroughly reassuring me again, I have had total trust in him. He viewed my surgical wounds from the operation and explained how long the recovery time would take. In addition to all this Prof Lloyd pulled out all the stops to get my operation progressing quickly in order for me to go on my holiday with my family in October break ... absolutely superb service and a very kind man with superb skills .. cannot thank him enough.

I was lucky to get an appointment with Prof David Lloyd and so glad I did , He’s very professional explaining everything that’s going to happen makes you feel at ease too, seeing I was so nervous of my ghoul bladder being removed after years of pain,I feel like a new man it’s changed my life. He came to see me after my surgery to make sure I was ok and have a little chat to say what I was going to feel like,which put me at ease too thank you. David Lloyd is amazing surgeon I would recommend anyone if you can get in with him you should jump at the chance. Plus he’s not a robot he’s he talks to you as a normal person not getting you in and out as quickly as possible. A very caring person. Keep up the great work.

Professor David Lloyd solved a problem that many other specialists could not solve. I was suffering with back and chest pain upon movement and pain on inspiration for over 5 years seeing once specialist after another. I spent a small fortune on consultations from specialists all over the country (many of whom were clinical leads in their fields) had multiple scans, tests etc and I was making little progress. It’s always worth bearing in mind that not all doctors are the same. In the U.K. and particularly under the NHS, we are often discouraged to seek second opinions. I’m grateful to have met Professor David Lloyd who is not only a world renowned surgeon, but also a brilliant lateral thinker who can think outside the box. After listening carefully he explored the possibility of adhesions. At surgery he found significant adhesions spanning the whole of the abdomen. He subsequently divided the adhesions and the symptoms resolved. I highly recommend him. The surgery was life changing - he was brave enough to explore the possibilities.
