Professor David Lloyd operated on my triple hernia in January 2023. As well as the operation itself there were two other meetings with him, one two weeks before the operation and one two weeks afterwards. On the day of the operation he visited me both before and after he operated. I had not been in a hospital overnight for over 60 years and wondered what to expect but Prof Lloyd was outstanding not only in terms of the operation itself -- which went very well indeed-- but also in terms of his great personality. In many ways he was a larger than life figure with a wonderful disposition and a clarity of thought and expression that totally put my mind at ease from the word go. His ability to explain complex processes in straightforward terms was refreshing.

I was treated by Professor Lloyd Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 for hernia surgery. I researched online for the best consultant / surgeon for my treatment and came across Professor Lloyd. He had great reviews and was able to see me immediately. Although I live in Northampton I was prepared to travel to Leicester to get the best care. During my first consultation, I was put at ease as I could see that Professor Lloyd was highly profession and very knowledgeable. My surgery went as expected and the follow up appointment was equally as good as the first. I am now fully recovered and would highly recommend Professor Lloyd.

Wonderful experience with Professor David Lloyd and his team at The Spire Hospital, Leicester. They were all very helpful and kind and I was put at ease throughout consultations, tests and the surgery itself. I am so glad I chose Professor Lloyd for my surgery and would highly recommend him to anyone as after a speedy recovery I am now pain free thanks to him.

Professor David M Lloyd is a rare doctor- My issue started in 2005 and I have been misdiagnosed by so many doctors- from diagnosis of IBS, IBD,Depression, mental disorder, epilepsy seizures and some other funny diagnosis I cant remember. I travelled the world trying to find a solution. I researched online and found Professor David on this website. Meeting him was something I would never forget for a long time, he explained the root cause of my diagnosis and how/why I have suffered for the last 17 years. For the first time, I have met a doctor with a great understanding of my illness. Surgery was scheduled to repair/remove my chronic cholecystitis late November. Surgery was very successful and no complication thereafter- my gallbladder was severely inflamed and scared over many years. I was able to return to my trigger foods after about 3 days. I am now looking forward to a brighter life afterwards and enjoying the very best of Xmas. This man here is an angel in human flesh. He saved my life!!!
