I did not see Ms Bronder but was directed straight to a colonoscopy. This was carried out very professionally and with great care and humour by a team of three. I was kept informed at all times and care was taken to warn me of possible painful developments.

My review concerns the whole team that dealt with me, including Ms Bronder. " Quite some time ago now I was detecting changes in my bowel movements, along with the occasional signs of blood. In the past I had been troubled with haemorrhoids plus I am now 77 years of age, and I presumed that for someone of my age all this was natural. Anyhow, occasionally programs were shown on the TV describing my symptoms in association with bowel cancer, and this prompted me to get in touch with my GP's surgery and seek their advice. To cut a very long story short, I was referred to the Endoscopy Unit at the Westmorland General Hospital. During a procedure to inspect the inside of my bowel, several small polyps were found, plus one large polyp about the size of an average mushroom. The small polyps were removed, but the large one proved difficult and I had to return at a later date, when this time the removal of the large polyp was successful. All removed polyps were sent away to be checked for signs of cancer, including two more removed at a later date. It turns out that all removed polyps were actually free from cancer, but the large one was showings signs that it was close to turning cancerous. In other words, this brilliant team at the Westmorland General, had probably saved my life! The purpose of all this, is to thank everyone involved, including my GP's surgery. Not only this, but to warn others who have any changes in their bowel movements, to go and get yourself checked out, It could save your life! Thanks once more to all involved."

I was referred by my GP to the colorectal rectal department and was seen by msBronder soon afterwards.. It was explained to me very clearly why I needed to have a CTcolonoscopy. This was done soon afterwards by very helpful and sympathetic radiographer. I received a letter with results a week later giving me the results of the scan.I was very relieved to know nothing abnormal was found and do not require any further treatment

I received the two-way conversation and respect I wanted so I could make the decision relative to my age and current physical state. I can only thank her, Bernard Hones

I was referred to the colorectal department where I was introduced to Miss Bronder and her team. Everyone was extremely professional and very friendly putting me at ease.Everything was explained in detail to what I would expect in the process. During the procedure I was informed as to what was happening and had a very friendly conversation during the procedure. The results of the examination were explained in detail fortunately favourable. Also I have just received results of the tissue samples which were normal and the polyps were benign. I cannot thank the team enough for their helpfulness and professionalism.
