Mr Kalairajah was so reassuring and very informative. He was so easy to talk to and made me feel at ease from the first consultation. His surgery skills were amazing - such a small neat scar. No painkillers needed after a few weeks. His bedside manner was great and very kind. My recovery was so speedy and better than I could have hoped for.

From our initial consultation, my stay in hospital and the follow-up consultation following my total hip replacement I can not praise Mr Kalairajah (and the Team) highly enough. Pre-surgery the explanations were clear and I was left with no concerns or unanswered questions. Today (six weeks after surgery) I am delighted with the outcome of the operation.

After having intermittent pain,locking,collapse of my right knee for two years on the NHS waiting list I was offered an appointment with One Hatfield Hospital being my first choice and Mr Kalairajah was the Consultant. Mr Kalairajah examined my knee,arranged an X Ray and MRI scan in quick succession, showed me the problemand explained how he would treat it he explained the pros and cons of the prospective surgery so I was completely aware of the outcome and possible pitfalls.I have to say my operation went very well and after six weeks had an aftercare appointment with Mr Kalairajah where he told of possible deterioration in the future and how best to stave it off.On the whole,my experience with One Hatfield Hospital, the staff who attended me and the consultant Mr Kalairajah was excellent.

From my initial consultation through and during my total right knee replacement and six week follow up consultation I found Mr Kalairajah’s care and professionalism exemplary. I would highly recommend this consultant in every way. He was friendly and approachable during all aspects of my procedure at Spire Hospital, Harpenden. He explained everything that I needed to know about the operation and aftercare. He provided a link to his booklet which contained all relevant information and was presented in a clear and easy to understand manner. My procedure was a total success and after six weeks I am well on the way to making a complete recovery. I would like to thank Mr Kalairajah and all the team and staff at Spire Hospital for looking me after so well.
