I was suffering from tinnitus and saw Mr Flannery over video several times. I was also referred for tests with Alexia in Reading. Both Mr Flannery and Alexia were excellent, thoughtful and considered. I have a better understanding of tinnitus, and no longer have the same level of concern. This in turn leads to reduced symptoms. Thanks for your help.

Mr Flannery listened. When I first met him, one of my own GPs had said I was just a paranoid mother, but my son, Blue, was poorly. He was not even two, and I knew things were not right. A different GP sent us straight to RBH, and Mr Flannery saw Blue the very same day. My son attended many appointments in the ENT department, and Mr Flannery finally got a diagnosis. It was a rare condition, but he made me feel calm the whole time, always explaining everything so I understood what was going on, as there were so many fancy long words to get my head around. My son is 21 this year, and still talks about Mr Flannery fondly. The man who gave him his special scar. He is a credit to the medical world.

My son had tonsillitis every two weeks for months and has been extremely ill. We decided to see Mr Flannery who made quick arrangements for an adenotonsillectomy in February. My son has been a completely different person since. He was never sick after the operation and had no pain at all (which was not my experience many years ago when mine was removed). The nurse mentioned that Mr Flannery uses a specific technique that is not as painful. Since the operation my son has gained weight and been so much happier. I cannot thank Mr Flannery enough.We were at ease from the start with his great knowledge and efficiency and honestly felt our son couldn't be in better hands. If my other son ever has the same difficulties we would definitely not go anywhere else. Thank you
