Yesterday I attended a consultation with Mr Halfpenny. I attended suffering excrutiating face pain and a swelling in the neck. Mr Halfpenny was superb. He examined my neck, jaw, face and teeth and diagnosed a TMJ dysfunction and prescribed superb pain management and muscle relaxants. I felt so bleak yesterday but after my consultation with Mr Halfpenny, I see a big chink of light and believe I am going to get better. After taking the prescribed drugs yesterday, I already feel much better rested and I'm in much less pain today.
Mr Halfpenny is superb and I heartily recommend him. He is modern medicine at its very best.

I am a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust and have over 20 years experience in the speciality. I am qualified both in Medicine and Dentistry and am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and member of the Association of Facial Plastic Surgeons and British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons . I am the Trust lead clinician for Head and Neck Cancer/Reconstruction.
I am also one of the few surgeons to have extensive experience of minimally invasive salivary gland surgery using the latest techniques.
I have published over twenty peer - reviewed papers covering all aspects of the speciality and am fully registered with both the General Medical and Dental Council.
My particular clinical interests are in facial reconstruction/cancer surgery, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery, thyroid surgery, surgical dentistry and temporomandibular (jaw) joint disorders including facial pain.
