The doctors and nurses are great - the problem is that too many patients are given early appointments and the doctors have not completed their other tasks early enough to see them. The result is that the patients in the waiting room get very angry. Those who have been there before are used to sitting waiting for about 3 hours - which is very bad. The letter does state you can be about 3 hours because of other tests one will be sent to - not that you will be sitting on an less than comfortable chair for 3 hours with only some out of date magazines to help pass the time. My second complaint is that not enough information is given before an operation - you will lose your boob - not a big deal - you will never really have the use of your arm (where nodes are removed) again BIG DEAL. If you overwork it, you will suffer pain even after many years (4.5 in my case) . The possibility that there is an alternative treatment is never given - still don't know. That the Anastrozole table will help prevent cancer in the future - but tell me that it will make my hair fall out and that I will end up with brittle bones taking 2 types of calcium for the rest of my life! So yes the doctors are doing a great job but we need less waiting time for us the patients and we NEED MORE INFORMATION BEFORE AND OPERATION.
