Arrived at A&E at 6.30am, didn't leave until 4pm. Wasn't very busy when I arrived but waited hours for everything, blood pressure, blood tests, xrays. 3 hrs after my 2nd blood test they told me that it had been lost & wanted me to stay longer to do more. No one really seemed to know who was who & what was going on with anyone. When I eventually got my prescription & shown where the Pharmacy was to collect it, I waited over another hour (again no organisation, just calling out random numbers) to then be told I could have picked up my medication from the ward I had been on. So back to the ward I go to wait longer for them to sort out my medication. Never again will I visit this hospital. Toilets were dirty & one didn't even shut/lock properly.

After an initial administrative misunderstanding, I was given a fast appointment at the Fracture Clinic at Barnet Hospital, Wellhouse Lane. X-rays, taken at Finchley Memorial Hospital, had been passed to clinicians there. I was anxious to hear if the x-rays revealed any fractures or if it was safe to walk on the sprained ankle which was still painful at times. I was seen and examined within half an hour of my (early) arrival at the Fracture Clinic. I was very satisfied with the examination, verdict and ankle support given to me. And with how quickly I had been seen. Staff at the clinic were courteous and efficient. I had no fault to find and therefore no suggestions as to how the service could be made better.

On behalf of the Michael Kitchener’s family - The staff on Palm ward were unbelievably wonderful, whenever we thanked them, they said that they were doing their job, but they were doing far far more than that. The Registrar (Dr Bentley) always made himself available, listened to us and gave kind clear advice. We could not have hoped for better care in our loved one’s final days.

Please please do something about this hospital.I had to come to this hospital again due to my sickness and found it worse than last time .I am a nurse myself but staff nurses in barnet hospital are the worse nurses ever .lack of responsibility,no respect, very rude ,very lazy with aggressive behaviour. There is no sympathy or feelings from them towards patients.I was taken to the hospital by ambulance people and waiting in A/E more than 3 hours and they knew I was not able to walk but ignore me ,ask for water and toilet ,they didn’t care .I was suffering from pain, bursing my bladder with no water during night .Doctors look very confused but still there is some humanity in them .Place are very dirty. However, some of the staff had heart and care about patients .I never ever go back there even I die .They really need to give these careless warning letter or whatsoever.

I have taken friends to A and E in Barnet but always a long wait, nurses and Doctors so busy and seem stressed. Today I attended the outpatient Maxillofacial dept an was seen by Dr Mohamed Bajalan.. His examination was so thorough and talked me thru what he was doing. I thought I was in a Private hospital. Explained he would write to my GP and arrange an MRI. To investigate further. First time I have felt that the Dr cared about his patient. Hopefully this will continue. The hospital sees patients face to face. Why can’t GP’s. ?
