Mr Thomas Satyadas

I was referred to Mr Satyadas when an MRI scan revealed a cyst on my pancreas. I am sure the following few months would have been a much more frightening experience, had it not been for Mr Satyadas. Right from the beginning everything was explained to me in a clear and concise way – I understood what my operation would consist of and the risks associated with surgery. All my questions and concerns were answered in a way which left me completely at ease, as I understood what was happening. Family and friends commented on how well I was handling the situation, which again is a testament to Mr Satyadas’s care and consideration for the patient. During my stay in hospital, Mr Satyadas came to see me every day for support and encouragement. Through phone calls he continued to check my progress, even after I had been discharged – and whilst he was on his holiday! In my opinion, this goes over and beyond what anyone can expect. My operation was completely successful and the recovery time much faster than I could have hoped for. Mr Satyadas is a fantastic surgeon, who I have had the privilege of being under the care of. There is nothing he could possibly have done more! I couldn't thank him enough – or recommend him highly enough. He is one amazing person!

After 3yrs of waiting for Tameside hospital to remove my gallbladder, the only good thing they did was to refer me to Mr Thomas Satyadas in February 2016. He told me I have pancreatic cancer and that he needed to perform a Whipple operation which involves major abdominal reconstruction to remove the tumour. Thomas explained all this in a informative, concise and friendly manner, answering all my questions and concerns, and put me at ease. He came to see me the morning of the operation to make sure I was ok and even phoned my wife after 10hrs of surgery to let her know how it went and to put her at ease. He has a fantastic team of people around him from the HDU dept to the nursing staff in the ward. Thomas came to see me everyday I was in hospital and even phoned me when I went home to make sure I was ok. Thomas Satyadas is a brilliant and highly skilled surgeon who has caring, compassionate and calming qualities. We are so,so lucky to have him at Manchester R I. I cannot thank him enough, I truly believe he saved my life.

Following a referral from my G.P. I visited Thomas for consultation at Highfield Hospital, Rochdale. I was diagnosed with a double hernia and advised that an operation was necessary. Within two weeks I had the op.at the Alexander Hospital and was home again feeling fit and healthy. I experienced very little inconvenience and was delighted at how quick my problem was solved. Thomas is a charming man and is quite prepared to explain and discuss your problem and treatment in detail.

I RECENTLY UNDERWENT SURGERY TO REMOVE MY GALL BLADDER, WHICH WAS CARRIED OUT BY MR. THOMAS SATYADAS. I DID A FAIR AMOUNT OF RESEARCH WITH REGARD TO WHICH SURGEON TO CHOOSE AND THE REVIEWS I READ FOR MR. SATYADAS HELPED MAKE MY MIND UP. THANKFULLY I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. I FOUND HIM TO BE EXTREMELY PATIENT, EXPLAINING EVERYTHING IN GREAT DETAIL AND I FELT I COULD TRUST HIM COMPLETELY. HE WAS SO CALM AND IN CONTROL I KNEW I HAD MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. IT'S BEEN FOUR WEEKS SINCE I HAD THE SURGERY WITH NO PROBLEMS AND SO GLAD I HAD IT DONE. THANK YOU MR SATYADAS

I was referred to Mr Satyadas after developing an incisional hernia. Mr Satyadas was very clear in his diagnosis, what the likely repair would consist of, and the risks and benefits of going ahead with surgery. I was left with all the information I required, carefully and clearly explained for me. All my concerns were honestly answered, and at no time did I feel bamboozled by medical terms. On the day of my operation, Mr Satyadas was on hand to talk me through the procedure again, and ensure that I was happy. My operation was a great success, and now 6 weeks on, I've had my follow up review with Mr Satyadas, and again he was able to give me great confidence in the success of my procedure. I'm not in any pain, and have been back at work for 3 weeks now - complete with a really neat and unobtrusive scar! I am extremely greatful for the care and attention I have received under Mr Satyadas - Thank you!
