Dr Ahmed was the most considerate doctor I have ever met in the NHS, he explained everything to me and during the examination treated me with respect and dignity asking and informing before the examination.
The whole department was run smoothly and efficiently and everyone was very considerate. I just wish the whole of the health service was run in the same manner.
The biggest difference was that I was treated like a person not just a body with no mind
Mr. Ahmed was very calm and reassuring. He took time to understand my medical background and explained my situation very carefully. The Breast Clinic at High Wycombe Hospital is a very well run unit.
Mr Ahmed was very caring and understanding. He was able to put me at my ease and listened to my questions and answered them without making me feel that they were silly questions
Mr Ahmed was polite, with a friendly, caring and professional attitude.
I felt confidence in his ability to assess and deal with my concerns and at no time felt threatened by his presence (which can occur when one feels vulnerable).
He answered the questions that I asked during the consultation and enquired as to whether I had any other concerns/questions at the end.
Mr Ahmed was very friendly and explained everything that was going to happen carefully and with humour. I felt I was listened to and my worries allayed.
All the staff in the breast unit were professional, friendly and caring.
The unit itself is bright , clean and welcoming.
I felt I was in very safe hands.
I had my operation in day surgery and was down for morning surgery. There were delays ( and I understand this might happen) but I was not told about what was happening which was unfortunate as I didn't go into surgery until late afternoon.
I was also left alone in the anesthestic room which was unsettling for me.
Overall I would definitely recommend Wycombe hospital and push my friends who have missed mammograms to go and have them .
