I have had the good fortune to be accepted as a NHS patient by the Senior Cardiac Surgeon Mr Shirish Ambekar and his heart surgery team at this leading U.K. cardiac Centre resulting in major heart surgery 9 days ago. Throughout a difficult year for the NHS there has been excellent collaboration with my referring consultant at another hospital, appointments have been reliable and informative. Care and support have been first class and I saw Mr Ambekar regularly. I am now recovering well and feel that if I should need more attention he will be there. Thank you.

Mr Ambekar operated on me in march 2020. He saved my life. I had x2 mechanical valves due to endocarditis. He talked to me prior to my op and put me at ease. I seen him briefly in the ward after and thanked him. A small thing to say for such a wonderful thing he done for me. Iam forever grateful. As for now, 3 years later, i feel fantastic.
