Mr Masud took time to put me at ease and was very reassuring putting constructive suggestions to alleviate any concerns that I had. Due to my on going breathing issues, he suggested an epidural with some light analgesia and had to insist that this happened on the day of the surgery even though the anesthetists preferred a full analgesia.I felt that he was respectful of my concerns. During all meetings with Mr Masud he was very amiable and reassuring, giving clear follow up instructions.

I find Mr Masud to be a very warm, helpful and approachable person. He had the patience to listen to my concerns regarding my knee replacement surgery and was very informative in describing the particular problems that I have. I had my surgery 2 months ago and so far I am very happy with the outcome and my progress. At my follow up with Mr Masud last week, we discussed briefly the need for my other knee to be replaced before long and I will be more than happy to be operated on by him next time around.

Mr Masud was totally professional every time I met him and he shows great empathy with the patient. He has a nice relaxed bedside manner and came to see how I was just a couple of hours after the operation. The Total knee replacement operation I had done has recovered excellently and everyone has remarked about how good a job was done by the surgeon. He personally could not have given me greater care. I suffer from osteoarthritis affecting most of my joints. I was offered the opportunity to be seen by Mr. Saqib Masud at Morriston Hospital with a view to having my Surgery for a total Knee replacement performed at the Vale hospital in Cardiff as a waiting list initiative patient. I was aware and therefore very apprehensive about the surgery as TKR surgery can either work very well or can go drastically wrong. I was very grateful to Mr. Masud for agreeing to perform my surgery. The care I received by all involved during the course of my stay in the hospital was second to none. The expertise and quality of care that I have received under the care of Mr. Masud has given me confidence knowing that surgery on my other knee will be performed by an extremely skilled, capable and professional surgeon. I am very grateful to Mr. Masud as this surgery has made a huge difference in my quality of life.
