Mr Chan operated on a very bad break on my shoulder a few years ago. There were concerns I would have to have a replacement shoulder. However Mr Chan not only managed to save my shoulder, he put me at ease and discussed every detail regarding the up and coming operation with me. He is such a kind, considerate surgeon, he put me at ease prior to my op and the aftercare was second to none. Let’s not forget he saved my shoulder. Due to the level of my injury I had to have extensive plate work put in and physio. My range was still a little limited, therefore Mr Chan discussed taking out the plate work as my bone had healed and doing some work on my scar tissue. I had my op for this 3 weeks ago and what a huge difference for me, my range has improved considerably, amazing if I’m honest. I had my post op appointment and again the nurse/physio Caroline and Mr Chan couldn’t have been more enthusiastic about my improvement, they listened to me and were amazing. All I can say is what a great surgeon, I felt like I went private, he is exceptional at what he does but with the added qualities of having such a lovely bed side manner by explaining everything, having empathy and a calm nature. I can never thank you enough or your excellent team. You are a credit to the NHS :)

Dr Sam is an amazing human being. He was assigned to me after a prior surgery didn't work and Sam 100% reassured me that I would be fine. True to his word, I was. Sam has a very calming, attitude, is very compassionate and is 100% committed to patient welfare. He listened to me every step of the way and answered my concerns in a language that I understood. I honestly could not say a bad word about this man. He is an amazing surgeon and human being. I highly recommend Sam to anyone that may be having (in my case) elbow issues as you won't be disappointed.
