Sam treated me for ACL reconstruction following a motorcycle accident. I found Sam after trying other surgeons and hospitals where the service and professionalism left me feeling not very confident in a successful procedure outcome. The procedure was carried out at the Horder centre in Crowborough East Sussex and I can say that my experience has been exceptional thus far, I’m around 10 weeks post op and continuing my physiotherapy. Sam was a gentleman from the start explaining the procedure carefully and operated with great consideration and care. I would highly recommend Sam for this procedure.

It is now five weeks since my total knee replacement performed by Sam and his team at the Schoen Clinic. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I am now walking about 30 minutes at a time and able to drive, albeit short distances. The procedure and after care were superb. Sam works very much as a team with his anaesthetist and physio. I had very little pain after the procedure and it was managed very professionally. The care during three day at the Schoen Clinic was excellent. Throughout the healing and recuperative process again there has been little pain and the strengthening of the leg has been expertly supervised by his visiting physio, Cheyne. A very professional and expert team lead by the skills of Sam.

Very experienced and knowledgeable- I am diabetic and he has helped me contact a top endocrinologist who made sure blood sugars were right for the replacement knee operation. He performed a brilliant knee op and the care from all the team was amazing.

The outcome of the procedure exceeded my very high expectations. I was able to walk unaided on the 3rd day and have not experienced more than soreness since. The post operative support and care was of the highest standard. I am indebted to the surgeon and his anaesthetist, who have succeeded in raising the quality of my life on the last lap to a level I could not possibly have envisaged.

I had been experiencing worsening pain symptoms in my right knee for five years and wanted to investigate exactly what was going on. A friend who had had both knees replaced recommended her surgeon, Mr Rajaratnam, at the Schoen Clinic. Mr Rajaratnam identified progressive osteoarthritis, and X-rays done at my first appointment showed bone on bone lateral disease. The options were clearly and comprehensively outlined to me and Mr Rajaratnam answered all my questions. I chose to have a total right sided knee replacement. I had full confidence in Mr Rajaratnam at all times and his team at the Schoen Clinic. I am now two weeks post-op and everything is going extremely well with my rehabilitation. I feel I have had exceptional care.
