I was lucky enough to be highly recommended to Sam Rajaratnam. 6 weeks after the op there was literally nothing that I could not do and this was entirely down to his skill, the excellent nursing care I received, the knowledge of the physios and the expertise of the pain management team. Sam and The Schoen are a class act, so good that I am having knee two done 3 months later!

Mr Rajaratnam was the surgeon who operated on both of my knee replacements, they have been extremely successful. Recovery has been within 6 weeks of operation and I have been able to walk without sticks during this time. His approach to both operations has been kind, thoughtful and understanding. He listens to all of your queries and worries which he manages to elevate from your thoughts. I would trust him to do a great operation at all times.

Wow! I went to see Sam after suffering ongoing pain following a 1/2 knee replacement. On my initial consultation Sam put me at ease, and listened to what I said and quickly came up with the best way forward He quickly diagnosed that the op had failed and I was booked in for a revision total knee replacement. Every step of the way was seamless thanks to the expertise and efficiency of his secretarial staff, especially Polly. On admission of my operation to my discharge, everyone, and I mean everyone at the Schoen Clinic were exceptional. Sam is an outstanding consultant, a great guy, and very approachable. His aneasthetist, Barry Phillips is also a great guy and they make a great team. If you are in any doubt as to whether or not to use Sam's expertise, and the Schoen Clinic, don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed. Donald. (Oxfordshire)

Mr Rajaratnam is an outstanding consultant, who immediately puts his patients at ease and gives very clear explanations about the medical problem and the treatment required to rectify it. He has an extremely caring manner and I had every confidence that I would be well looked after throughout the full knee replacement surgery and recovery. Post operative care and pain management were excellent and I left the Horder Centre well prepared for the next stage of my recovery. My follow up telephone appointment with Mr Rajaratnam was reassuring and enabled me to ask any questions regarding the continuing process of recovery. I am delighted with the way my new knee is functioning and have the highest respect and regard for Mr Rajaratnam. My husband had two full knee replacements carried out by Mr Rajaratnam and had the same sort of experience.

I had A full left knee replacement by Sam three years ago. I had the Vanguard high flexion knee so that I could return to competing with my horses. All I can say is it is the best thing I ever did and Sam and his team are absolutely amazing and I would recommend him to anybody. If it wasn’t for him I would not be riding today. Thank you Sam
