Robert Lee is a consummate professional. His pleasant manner invites confidence, and enables ease of patient-practitioner communication, in order to establish surgical action plans. My case was not easy by anyone’s standards but he approached the procedure logically, methodically and with palpable enthusiasm. However, he managed my expectations and left me in no doubt about possible collateral damage that could occur during surgery. I have had a lot of experience as a recipient of spinal surgery, so I feel confident in expressing the opinion that Robert Lee is an outstanding practitioner in the field of spinal deformity. I am grateful to have been able to entrust my care into his safe hands.

I can not thank Mr Robert Lee enough for what I can only say as "making the pain go away!" He made sure that choosing the surgery route was the best option after we tried all other options but at the same time always had in mind not only my physical being was being looked after but also my mental health was looked after to. The surgery performed was in my lower spine which involved 2 surgeries to install a cage. Prior to surgery he showed me what was being installed as well as giving me all the information around the surgery so I could understand the risks before, during and after to make my final decision. Mr Lee takes the time that all questions are answered and to explain the stuff I couldn't quite understand. The procedure performed left me with minimal scaring, so as to give me maximum recovery time. He saw me before, and after both surgeries, which during this pandemic it was a welcomed visit. Mr Lee has a first class bedside manner, and unlike some doctors/consultant I have come across treats you as a person rather than "just another patient" I would not hesitate in recommending Mr Robert Lee as he is an expert in his field but has treated me with compassion, understanding whilst giving me all options available in order to make my final choice. I initially had a private consultation with Mr Lee. He showed a lot of sensitivity, explaining the options of going privately or through the NHS and did not make me feel embarrassed about needing to go via the NHS route. I appreciated that he established my personal circumstances before explaining the amount of care required post surgery. I also appreciated that he personally kept in touch with me by phone after my operation was cancelled due to Covid-19. I also felt that when I was in hospital, he and his team gave me the right amount of attention and was available to answer questions when needed. Both he and his team were very professional.
