At my initial consultation with Mr Berber to assess my arthritic hip, I felt at ease and his explanations and full information inspired confidence. My confidence was fully justified on having surgery which went as outlined by Mr Berber and I was kept informed at all times of what to expect. I had no post operative bruising and and have an exceptionally neat scar. After 6 weeks my hip movement was already feeling very natural and, with physiotherapy support at The Spire Hospital, movement now at 10 weeks feels as good as pre arthritis. Obviously full recovery takes time but I am back to exercise, dancing, tai chi and country walks. Physiotherapy is important and I was aware that Mr Berber discussed my case with the team. I also think that the initial surgery is key to the eventual outcome and my surgery from Mr Berber was first class. A big thank you from me

Mr Berber is a most pleasant orthopaedic consultant with the knack of putting one totally at ease. His explanations are all-embracing and readily understandable, and the care shown by him and all the staff at The Park Hospital was wonderful. My hip replacement was effected speedily (despite a delay caused by my testing Covid positive!) and his post-op care has been excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending him for any orthopaedic issues.

At the first Consultation to discuss my knee problem, with Mr Berber, I was greeted by a friendly welcoming face which immediately made me feel at ease. Mr Berber advised that the injury I had sustained to my knee, some years previous was only affecting one side and suggested a partial knee replacement. Mr Berber explained in detail this procedure and immediately I felt totally confident. Previously, I had been told I would need a knee replacement and no other options had been given so when Mr Berber advised this would be a less invasive procedure. I was more than happy. On the day of the surgery Mr Berber visited me and fully explained the procedure, making me feel totally at ease. I was able to weight bear, with crutches, within hours. Six weeks later I was walking strongly and with confidence for the first time in years. I was driving within weeks and walking without aids. At the 6 week check up I strolled confidently into Mr Berber's office and once again was greeted with a smile and a handshake. Mr Berber showed me the post op xrays with a detailed explanation. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Berber, not only as a highly skilled surgeon but as someone with people skills whom you could ask questions and never felt you were being rushed or that the questions may be insignificant.
