Dr Barod is an outstanding doctor and surgeon. He listens to my needs and gives quality care. I was very happy to meet him to discuss my needs, he made me feel comfortable and he put a smile on my face. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a doctor and i feel he doesn't need to make any changes to the way he works as he is already as good as it gets.
I would like to thank him and his team for their great work, for helping me and others to go through the process quickly and painlessly.

In what it arguably was the worse ordeal of my life so far, he explained me all the options and offered me a plan of care that increase the options to continue a normal life after treatment. He kept me informed all the time, calling me when a result came bad or to check how the recovery was. Special mention to the rest of the team, that were there to help always when I contacted them with questions or during the A&E visits.

Mr Ravi Barod is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at The Specialist Centre for Kidney Cancer at The Royal Free Hospital. He is one of the highest volume kidney cancer surgeons in the UK.
After completing his urological training in London, he undertook a two year robotic surgery fellowship, mentored by pioneers of the technique in Detroit, USA. While there, he mastered complex robotic surgical techniques and he has bought this unique expertise back to the UK.
He has a strong and active track record in research and has completed a PhD investigating the molecular genetics of kidney cancer at University College London.
He is dedicated to achieve outstanding patient care, driven by clinical and academic excellence.
