Not sure that timescales are known. This is the second time I have been told that surgery will be in 6- 12 months time. Last time I contacted hospital was October and was also told the same timescale. Perhaps it is an average.
Mr Jain was very good. Explained, and listened to what I had to say. Very reassuring.

Listened and we both evaluated the situation and, the outcome depended on my decision which, was my objective. Polite, informative and I have the utmost trust in Mr Jain. What we have agreed remains in my interest with, if I need it, a route to treatment.

Explained the situation very well. Gave me options of gallstones or hernia mended first. Was very professional and gave me confidence. A good experience. Appointment was on time as well.

I am Consultant surgeon at the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS trust specialising in General, Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery. My special interest include minimal invasive and advanced laparoscopic general and Upper GI surgery.
After competing my initial Medical and Post-graduate training in India, I undertook further surgical training in London and the North–East. He completed his fellowship in Bariatric surgery at St George’s hospital, London and Oesophago-gastric cancer surgery at the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford.
I have always enjoyed teaching and I am a trainer for the surgical trainees on the West Midlands surgical rotation and also honorary surgical lecturer for medical students of Keele University.
