I have been a consultant Neurosurgeon at Salford Royal Hospital since 2014. I routinely manage general neurosurgical conditions including degenerative spine, trauma, hydrocephalus, neck pain and lower back pain. In addition, I specialise in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant brain tumours, awake craniotomies with brain mapping, brain tumour resections with fluorescent dye, intraoperative neurophysiology monitoring, fluorescence guided resection of brain tumours, minimally invasive cranial surgery and cranial endoscopy. I originally trained in Italy, where I obtained my medical degree and completed my training in Neurosurgery. I worked in Italy as a Neurosurgeon in 2009 and then moved to the prestigious Mayo Clinic, USA, for a clinical research year. In 2011, I moved to London to work at King’s College Hospital, where I enhanced my surgical skills and specialised in Surgical Neuro-oncology. My professional memberships include: Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons – England Member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons Member of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies Member of the European Association of Neuro-oncology Member of the British Medical Association Member of British Neuro-oncology Society Member of the International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology Monitoring Member of the British Association Spine Surgeons
