Other than a long wait for my pre-op appointment the service was very good and the staff very helpful.
Operation was carried out quickly and after care was excellent.
Excellent hospital with caring and attentive staff. Very friendly and willing to advise as requested. I attended privately with Sayan Bhattacharya and the clinical team. The care was above and beyond expected and I would not hesitate to recommend the consultant and hospital in particular the nursing staff. I have written a more comprehensive review of Mr Bhattacharya separately. Thank you
I have had a right side inguinal hernia that had grown steadily to be the size of a fist over the past 10 years. My personal healthcare experience was outstanding at the Highfield Rochdale from my first appointment with my consultant and surgeon Mr Nicola De' Liguori Carino. From the pre-op care team, nurses and pharmarcy and to my operation as a day case in the beginning of May 2024. Mr De' Ligouri Carino has a very good manner in explaining procedures, risk and rewards. He was open to any questions I had and I felt completely at ease with the operation, which went well.It was done by the laparoscopy method with a few small cuts which were sutured and glued afterwards.I had a very minor post-op infection from the wound in my navel but that was cleared up with a small course of antibiotics. It is just over 2 months since my op and my hernia is banished to history! No more pain everyday impeding many aspects of my life including poor digestion.I was given the choice by my G.P. where to have the procedure done at and I had no hesitation in opting for the Highfield from testimonials I had heard over the years. It is a totally professional, pleasant, faultlessly clean establishment. If the way to get the NHS waiting lists down is to out source the op's, the NHS should contract more of this type to the Highfield. Furthermore there are many managers in the NHS estate who would learn a lot from the Highfields, staff, ethos and business model.
The team in the hospital are great and I can highly recommend them and the hospital. However the food is poor and I waited 1hour for a cup of tea and that was after asking three times need to improve this.
I recently had hernia surgery completed here by Mr Nicola de’ Liguori.
From my very first consultation I was made to feel at ease. I was always kept in the loop and everything was explained to me in detail.
The surgery went well and I am now back to me again and able to move so much more without the worry of my hernia hanging over me.
The hospital was spotless and all the staff were brilliant.
I am so greatful! Thankyou so much!
Should I ever be in a position where I needed treatment again, I'd definitely be here. Everyone I encountered here treaded me with respect. They explained everything where needed. Everyone was friendly ans welcoming.
Exellent team who i can't praise enough. Professional throughout.
The staff at Highfield were outstanding nothing was to much trouble from the moment I arrived to the time I left I was impressed all the staff not only the medical staff but the support team too
The Highfield Hospital is a place with you really are cared for by all staff members, and your privacy and dignity is respected at all time.
Went in for a single hernia, actually found to be a double hernia. Was kept informed of the process throughout pre-op right through to the signing off consultation.I cannot fault anything about the whole procedure from day one to being signed off. Would highly recommend Highfield/ Dr Nicola de’liguori Carino/ and staff , fantastic service.
