Patrick Gillespie was trained in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery in Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol and London and undertook fellowships in the UK and overseas including two BSSH (British Society of Surgery of the Hand) Fellowships. He passed the European Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2007, winning the overall prize. He has been a consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at Addenbrookes Hospital since January 2008 and has been the Specialty Lead for the Department of Plastic Surgery since March 2014. His clinical practice includes Hand and Wrist surgery, skin cancer surgery and perineal reconstruction following cancer resections. He also has a private practice in Cambridge.
