The whole experience was very easy and relaxed and I had total confidence in Dr Warren which made it an awful lot less stressful. Very happy with all the follow up and the recovery.

In a long life I have had more than my fair share of operations including 2 hernias, a kidney stone + 3 shoulder operations + 2 new hips. Oliver Warren, who operated on me twice recently for a severe bowel condition, is an excellent surgeon who I have absolute confidence in. His after care is also brilliant Mr Warren has an extremely efficient team in his practice nurse Mariana Goncalves & PA Gemma Cooper. So everything runs like a well oiled machine!

Dr. Warren is extremely professional and made me feel at ease from the first minute of my initial consultation. My hernia operation was the first operation of any kind. The procedure went very smoothly and after 48 hours I almost forgot that I had been operated on! I cannot recommend Dr. Warren enough. Simply brilliant. THANK YOU.

Although these days an inguinal hernia repair is considered a very routine procedure, it is nonetheless always a cause for concern given the potential risks involved in any surgery and also specifically the concerns surrounding potential chronic pain from plastic mesh and other associated risks – albeit extremely small - such as the potential loss of a testicle (I believe worldwide a less than 1% chance but of course someone somewhere has to be in that small cohort!). In my case that concern was heightened given I was born with only one testicle (never a problem till now but suddenly a big worry). So the choice of surgeon – important at the best of times – in my case was even more important; I wanted to be sure I was in expert hands. And there is no doubt that with Mr. Warren, I could not have been in better hands. Mr. Warren was clear in my initial consult and answered all my questions; I felt confident I had found the right chap. But the proof, as they say, is in the pudding and indeed being now 4 weeks post-op (laparoscopic TEP repair), I can say I would not know I had had surgery. I am completely pain free – and in the main was pain free after about a week with only minor residual pain in the couple of weeks thereafter. So a great result from a great surgeon. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr. Warren.

I am 85 which adds a concern about undergoing surgery and further concern about the residual effect in my remaining years. My consultations left me free of major concern and feeling confident with a satisfactory outcome. I agreed to the procedure to correct three failed hernia repairs, the last one leaving me with part of my intestine migrating into the hernia. I was surprised with the outcome of the surgery as there was no pain and I was quite mobile. I was released to home in four days but a re-infection resulted in a return for a further four days. Three months on and I am most satisfied with the outcome - no pain, no mobility problems, improved stomach muscles, all in all, a better quality of life.
