I cannot thank you enough for removing my 2 cataracts. The care and attention I received during this process was excellent. For anybody else needing this procedure I would certainly personally recommend you. Mr John Fox 1213738 (654615)

I saw Mr. Bowes after having my second Cataract procedure. I did this to check all was ok with my eyes as I was nervous that all was not what it should be. He treated me with total professionalism and put me at ease. He confirmed that there was two issues but left me feeling confident that the surgery was completed to an excellent level and that there was no retinal damage to worry about . He explained in easy to understand terms and left me feeling a lot happier with my situation than when I walked into to the consultation. I would like to thank him for his help in this matter .

I have had a cataract procedure which I was quite worried and scared of having done, but can honestly say without hesitation it was done with great care and consideration to myself. Mr.Oliver Bowes MA MBBS FRCOphth CERTLRS was brilliant in talking me through what was being done, explaining the whole procedure even whilst I was having the cataract done. When recovering I was offered Tea and a Sandwich which was very nice and waited a little while to recover and was talked through the way in which to administer the drops. Afterwards he came around to see me telling me all went well and made an appointment so that my eye could be checked to make sure all was good. At this appointment I was told that my other eye needed a cataract done, and I know being under Mr.Bowes I feel very confident of having this. He has a very nice bedside manner which is very important making me feel at ease. Cannot think of anything that would need to be added or changed. Thank you. Mrs.Elaine Jeffries

I had my second cataract operation at The Holly in Buckhurst Hill. The hospital is impressive but Mr Bowes was exceptional. Friend,y, caring and utterly professional. Have no reservations in recommending him.

My wife recently had cataract removal surgery on both eyes performed at Spire hospital in Brentwood. My wife was extremely nervous about this cause of action, even as necessary as it was. These procedures were undertaken by Mr. Oliver Bowes. I attended all of my wife’s appointments with Mr. Bowes and can say that he is an extremely nice gentleman. He explained all of her options in the most patient manner. He was open to any questions, however silly they were. The operations were highly successful supplying results that exceeded his conservative pre-operation suggestions. I can say, from decades of dealing with members of the medical profession, that this surgeon has probably the best bedside manner I have ever encountered.
