I can only fully agree with previous comments. The "Doc" has now performed 2 liver resections (Secondary bowel cancer) within the last 9 months. An absolute professional yet retaining a very personable character. Called my wife asap after operations and providing re assurance. On ward for a week each time and made sure he saw me daily......even came in on day off (Sunday). Talk to him like I would a friend. Top man !!

When I met Mr.De ' Liguori I had never had an operation so was very anxious. He explained everything very clearly and made sure I understood everything. I remember very distinctly how he said that sometimes you tackle the headquarters ( primary cancer)first and then tackle the satellite( secondary cancer). In my case I had some chemotherapy and radiotherapy and they decided to tackle the satellite first.Everything went according to plan and I was brilliantly looked after . He explained that with my operation ( liver section to remove secondary tumours from bowel cancer ) it could be a chronic illness needing further operations. This has been the case but when he tackled my next operation he was also able to reverse my ileostomy which I had undergone when the bowel tumour was removed. I am impressed by the way he has worked with a whole team of people liaising with my surgeon at Oldham and teams at The Christie giving me the very best care possible. Thank you for your expertise and for giving me the strength to deal with things giving me a positive attitude and experience under your amazing care.

Mr de Ligouri has looked after me for the last 5 years and I trust him totally with my care. He is kind and easy to talk to. He explains things so that you have a full understanding of what is happening regarding your care. He makes you feel that your welfare is very important to him.

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer that had spread to my liver back in 2011. After 3 liver resections performed by mr del ligouri I am now cancer free for over 4 years. He has been with me every step of the way and made me feel confident of beating any recurrence. I am now married with a baby and it's all thanks to him he saved my life.
