The advice and care I received was first class in every respect. Be it the staff at the Spire Southampton and New Hall Hospital or Mr Jacobs. A replacement ankle is a big call but I had absolute confidence throughout the whole process and the result is everything that I had hoped for. It has given me mobility that I had not had for years. After a failed bunion operation by a registrar 10 years ago, I was very fastidious who I chose for my other foot bunion operation, Mr Neal Jacobs qualifications are exemplary. I was very lucky to have him perform my surgery and two and half weeks post surgery I would hardly know I had key hole surgery. I live in Bournemouth but travelled to Salisbury to have surgery. This was no hardship. I have seen Mr Jacobs post operation when all dressings were removed. I will see him again in 4 weeks. The care I received both from him and New Hall Hospital on the day of operation was faultless.

This scary cat was very wary of the operation l needed. However, Mr Jacobs was very professional and reassuring and explained everything. I felt very confident going into surgery and the aftercare and follow up appointments were excellent. Not nearly as much pain as was expecting afterwards and healed up really well.
