I have just been examined by Mr Wanis at Leicester General Hospitals Urology department. The consultation was carried out in a friendly and professional manner. The examination was conducted with care, there was also a calm reassurance in the way that Mr Wanis informed me of what was about to happen at every stage of the examination. I’m sure that Mr Wanis calm and warm nature had an influence on the running of the department. With members of staff in constant communication with each other Every member of staff that I had contact with within the department was professional in the way that they carried out their duty and there manner was again warm and friendly. Sue on reception, Lyn who carried out a pre assessment and the two nurses who were involved in the examination, whose names I have sadly forgotten. My examination was clear, with no real cause for concern. Because of this my view of the consultation has not been clouded with my own emotions

I have worked alongside Mr.Wanis on a number of on-call shifts and on the wards at Leicester General Hospital. My initial impressions of Mr.Wanis was that he was a very kind and considerate doctor who has a real passion for his chosen profession. I could see on ward rounds Mr.Wanis took the time for his patients and would always go that extra mile to ensure that a high standard of care was delivered. He is held in high esteem by all the staff and his patients at Leicester general hospital and has been a real pleasure to work with. Mr.Wanis has always been very approachable and despite the intensities of a on call shift always made time for any question I had. He has been very keen to teach me on a range of different subject areas and has greatly enhanced my skill and knowledge base. His ability to work in a team and maintain a fun yet professional atmosphere is a credit to him in the profession. He is a true role model as a doctor and I wish him every success in the future.

I was reviewed by Mr. Wanis at Leicester General Hospital. I am very pleased with the patient care I received. Mr. Wanis was very professional and caring. He listened carefully and patiently to what I was saying, addressing all my concerns. He explained the potential complications of my problem in a very clear and understanding manner. He answered my questions regarding the investigations I had to go through. I left the hospital feeling safe and with my mind at rest. I would definitely recommend this excellent doctor.

Mr Wanis is firstly a very helpful and friendly colleague, always available to give advice about patients and help solve problems. He is very personable and approachable and I feel comfortable asking him for help knowing he won't judge me. He teaches me about every patient, unusual conditions, what extra questions I can ask, invites me to observe procedures all to help me improve and to improve patient care. He is available to me 24 hours a day if I have any problems and I feel able to do so. During on-calls he is very hands-on and always available, helping me with referrals and new admissions. He asks of me only what I feel comfortable doing and will very gladly do the tasks I do not feel ready to do on my own. I trust in his guidance and decisions. I have seen him be exactly the same with other colleagues, and have heard only good things from them about Mr Wanis. Mr Wanis is very patient-centred and extremely polite, informative and personable with patients. He listens closely to their concerns and addresses them to his best ability.
