I received amazing care from Mr Norton throughout the journey, from before, during and after the operation. During the initial consultation he listened carefully to my concerns about future activity and was able to give me realistic but optimistic expectations of my recovery. On the day of the operation he put me at total ease and of course, everyone has been very impressed with the neatness of my scar! After the operation he personally took time to let my partner know that I was out of theatre. In the days immediately following the operation he responded very quickly when I asked him about pain relief during sleepless nights. Later on during my first follow up consultation he gave very clear and ambitious guidance as to where the next stage of my rehab should go. I am so grateful for the care I have received and all my experience mirrors the comments I have heard from others who have either worked with, or received care from Mr Norton.

Mr Mark Norton, clearly one of the top orthopaedic surgeons around without question, simple. That is just the start! His understanding of where the patient wants to be post surgery and the setting of realistic goals based on sound pre and rehab is amazing. Total hip replacement at 48 years old and I’m back to full fitness as a competitive Windsurfer and surfer! Blown away, thank you Mr Norton.

I am an Orthopaedic Hip surgeon dealing with all types of Hip related problems.
I am best known for having a special interest in younger adults with hip pain when no arthritis is apparent.
I also deal with Hip arthritis and complex hip deformities.
I have 15 years of experience as a Consultant managing young adults with hip problems and a large experience of Hip arthroscopy, open Hip impingement surgery and a wide range of hip replacements including hip resurfacing in very high demand people.
I undertake over 100 hip arthroscopies every year and approximately 200 hip replacements. I perform revision hip replacements and reconstructive surgery for more unusual deformities.
