Mr Dan H Williams FRCS

Mr Dan Williams is an excellent doctor in surgery and consultation. He listened to my issues regarding knee pain in a recent consultation and offered good advice but also the opportunity to meet again if the pain reoccurred in the months to come. I feel that he understood that if I say I am pain then I am not wimping out as I have a physical job and also an athletic past (triathlons). He gives me the confidence to continue to build strength and avoid surgery in the short term.

Mr Williams was very calm and kind, I was nervous but he made me feel at ease, showed me my x-rays and explained what he could achieve, a partial knee replacement. Day of surgery and Mr Williams came to see me, put his signature on my operated leg, gave a few kind words, asked if I had any questions, then we were good to go. When I woke up from the operation I wasn’t in pain and didn’t feel sick, Mr Williams had successfully performed my partial knee replacement. The nurses were amazing, and I was discharged the next day.

I felt in safe hands from the day I met Mr Williams. I was put at ease and felt that he gave me all the knowledge I needed for my operation snd recovery. I cannot speak highly enough of his care. My knee op has been very successful. I followed his guidance on recovery. Ice being my best painkiller!! Static cycling works well…. The Duchy hospital should be proud of all their staff. The care from everyone involved at the hospital was second to none.

Mr. Dan Williams performed a partial knee replacement on my left knee and I cannot thank him enough. The biggest thing that helped me before the surgery, and after, was to be told to use an exercise bike because, unfortunately, I couldn’t walk far because of the pain due to bone on bone osteoarthritis. The bike enabled me to build up the strength in my upper leg. The operation went extremely well and Mr. Williams was absolutely brilliant. He came every day to see me whilst at the Duchy. My knee is progressing well and I am so thankful to Mr. Williams for giving me my life back. Also I would like to say my stay at the Duchy was excellent. All the staff were fantastic . Dan Williams is a skilled, knowledgeable surgeon. A personable man who actively listens to his patients. With encouragement and support in partnership he enables them to achieve their goals. . I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone with knee problems. Thank you for my new knee.

After taking Mr Williams advice regarding a course of action for me to take leading up to my operation I was operated on and discharged within 24 hours and have no joint pain what so ever. Continuing with the exercises as instructed and enjoying life pain free. Could not have wished for a better outcome. Thanks very much.

In 2022 I started getting pain in my left leg at that time i was was leading a very active life walking 10,000+ steps per day doing my house work gardening attending many clubs going on coach trips doing my own shopping when i had my consultation with Mr Dan Williams in Jan 2025 I had became house bound was unable to do any of those activities could only walk with using a walking stick and a 4 wheel walker was unable to drive had to depend on family and friends ,life became very difficult for ,when I was shown the X rays of my hips and Mr Williams explained then to me and that both would need replacing The left one was replaced on1st April over the weeks I am slowly getting back to my normal self it is great that I am getting my life back I know that there with be a bit of a set back when Mr Williams replaces the right one Thank You

I would thoroughly recommend Mr Williams not only being a brilliant surgeon he is also a very nice man. He listened to everything I had to say & was so easy to talk to. On the day of my surgery he made me fell at ease as much as he could. After surgery he came round to see me & explained what he had done he then came back the next couple of days until I went home. The after care I received was also good & my one year post op appointment came round quickly with no problems & now having a new pain free hip is brilliant I can’t thank him enough.

excellent surgeon gives you all the time you need to explain the problem really good follow up after your procedure very nice person . MRwilliams certainly took a lot of the pain i suffered away pardon the pun and put me right back on my feet thank you greatly a very happy patient B DISNEY

This doctor/consultant is a kind caring non judgemental surgeon! He is very caring and extremely talented! I have had both my knees partially replaced by him with extremely good outcomes. You feel totally safe in his care and he keeps you updated at all stages. This is a Consultant surgeon I would without any hesitation recommend. My results speak for themselves. This guy is a true talent!
