Like anyone who have ruptured their ligament in their knee is not a very happy feeling to have. Limits your capabilities in physical work or leisure time. Having surgery on my knee is a scary thought. Did not feel like I would want to have surgery. Surgery day before going in for the procedure he came and reassured me about the surgery which for me was very nice and was felt more confident going through it. Going through the whole experience with Mr Akhtar was a blessing. He said he will do a fantastic job on my knee and he kept to his word. My knee feels normal I am able to run do exercise.

I was unlucky enough to break my knee cap but lucky that I was referred to Kash. He is a brilliant consultant who is clearly at the top of his game. He was clear, direct and confidence building and put me on the path to recovery much quicker than I was expecting. He is personable, professional but above all has the interests of his patients front and centre in how he operates. He is outstanding and I owe my future fitness and mobility to his judgement and expertise.

Kash was professional, knowledgeable and filled me with confidence within minutes that he would be able to care for my knee in the necessary manner it requires. He was straight to the point and helped me understand what was wrong with my knee, gave me a clear plan of action to follow and sent a swift to follow up note. I can only speak extremely highly about Kash!

I suffered a series of significant knee injuries (ACL, MCL, meniscus tear and cartilage lesion) following a routine jumping/landing during sports and was recommended to see Kash to explore specialist treatment. Based on my experience with Kash, he provided clear analysis of the MRI diagnostics, explanation of available treatment options & their implications (e.g. surgical and non-surgical, ACL graft choices and cartilage treatment options). He is very knowledgeable, caring, always make sure that I understand the decisions made during the journey and ensure that I am in the best possible condition pre-surgery to maximize outcome from the surgical treatment. Overall, I am very thankful that not only he managed to complete the ACL reconstruction well, he also managed to save/repair my meniscus tear (rather than debridement) and also treated my cartilage damage. I would highly recommend him for anyone who is looking for professional treatment options to their knee issues.

I first came into contact with Dr Akhtar, when I came into my consultation for my ACL injury through the NHS. He instantly asked about the type of person I am how competitively I play football and took it all into consideration for when I had my surgery and the type of surgery I had. As I am an elite athlete and I already waited nearly 9 months for a surgery he put me on the urgent list and allowed me to have my surgery ASAP. December came round and he came to see me on the morning of my operation and talked me through the surgery and what will happen after. This made me feel very confident going into surgery. The surgery went well and Dr Akhtar came to see me as soon as I woke up and spoke to me about the surgery explaining what he found what he done and where do we go from here. He made everything very clear for me which took a lot of stress away from me. Also, something I really appreciate with Dr. akhtar and I can't thank him enough is the type of surgery he done. Knowing I am a young footballer he done a surgery that is very good for my position an my sport, which when I went to my physio they was very happy with how the surgery went. He explained the situation with my Mencius very Cleary and came to me after surgery making very clear going though the images which helped a lot A few days after my surgery he called me to just check up with what im doing and how I am getting on. He gave me tips and ways to overcome pain and help range of motion which really helped. Once I started physio with Isokentic, my doctor knew Dr.Akhtar he was really pleased that I had him has my surgeon and was really happy that with the type of surgery and how it was conducted. During my 9 months at Isokentic Dr.Stride who was my doctor at the clinic and Dr. Akhtar kept in contact going over my progress which really helped as when we had check ups everyone was in the loop which where I am at. I saw Dr Akhtar every couple of months through the NHS and what I really appreciated is that he made sure he was at every check and I spoke to him and had face to face contact. Going back into football he was always honest with me and always made sure I knew the best time to return and how to go back into sports and full contact sports which was really helpful. I had my last check up with him and he made me feel very worthwhile with all the work I put it to get back to fitness and he was a huge part to that as he gave me the foundations and was always with me throughout my rehab journey, either through face to face check up, random phone call check ups or catch ups with Dr Stride. He was amazing throughout the whole process and I can't thank him enough with how to treated me as a patient, especially during the pandemic. I honestly believe, I wouldn't be in the position I am now going back into elite football without Dr.Akhtar help!
