Holidaying in Majorca in September 17 l stumbled on some rocks. I felt pain on my right side my lower back and down my right leg, whilst out walking. On returning home l still felt uncomfortable and after visiting various physios l I had a few sessions of chiropractic manipulation, all to no avail. I was then referred me to Mr Kanna Gnanalingham. After discussion and two epidurals we agreed to proceed to surgery. My operation was undertaken by Mr Gnanalingham at the Alexandra Hospital Cheadle. After a slow recovery from the operation l was discharged home after a physiotherapy review. I would like to say how grateful l am to Mr Gnanalingham for his kind professional attentions to my back problem and l would strongly recommend his services to my family and friends if ever needed.

The moment I was passed onto Mr Gnanalingham I knew patients came first. Vaani, Mr Gnanalingham's PA contacted me to try and re arrange my appointment to help me to be seen sooner, at time that suited us both. I had my consultation and was referred for an MRI, I explained I suffer with claustrophobia and we discussed the option of an open scanner; this made the experience for me much less 'scary'. Thankfully, my condition isn't anything urgent but throughout the process Mr Gnanalingham has been understanding, patient and friendly. Vaani, Mr Gnanalingham's PA has been lovely, very prompt and always professional, whilst also maintaining a friendly approach. I now wouldn't look to see anyone else.

I was recommended to see Mr Gnanalingham by a chiropractor I was seeing for my bad back. It was easy to get an appointment, X-ray and MRI scan. Then after having the choices available to me fully and clearly explained, the procedure we agreed on went seamlessly. I would fully recommend Mr Gnanalingham who came across as professional and caring.

I underwent a left-sided posterior cervical foraminotomy and bone graft under the care of Mr Gnanalingham in August 2021. The surgery itself went very well and I am continuing with my physiotherapy sessions and making good progress. My left-sided neck pain and associated pins and needles have improved considerably and I have a good range of neck movements which I didn't have prior to surgery. Throughout my journey, I was kept well informed and felt that Mr Gnanalingham was patient and understanding. I was always copied in to his comprehensive clinic letters which provided me with clear, concise information regarding my treatment plan. I am very grateful to have received such excellent care from Mr Gnanalingham and his team and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone requiring neurosurgical care.
