From my first Consultation with Mr Chawla I felt at ease and very comfortable. He explained the procedure for my cataract surgery which I had in both eyes in detail and told me what to expect. I was also having lens replacement surgery with Eyehance lens implant at the same time. As I had previously had laser eye surgery for my short sightness some 20 years ago Mr Chawla could not be certain I would get the results I wanted. I had a few tests carried out at the Consultation with the help of the lovely lady Jenny Mr Chawla’s nurse. I had my left eye surgery first and felt at ease with the whole process. Everyone who looked after me was very caring and I received excellent care. My sight was so much clearer even without glasses from the first day. I had my right eye done 3 weeks later and again everything went very smoothly. I had my follow up appointment yesterday and Mr Chawla was very pleased with the results. I too couldn’t have hoped for a better result. I no longer need glasses for long distance and can also even read a book without glasses. The only thing I need my reading glasses for is very small print and when there is not much light. I can not recommend Mr Chawla and his team enough. They were brilliant.

Mr Chawla performed Yag laser surgery on both of my eyes. My eyesight improved almost immediately. Being an older patient, I was a little nervous at first about the procedure but Mr Chawla put my mind at rest and was thoroughly trustworthy.

Excision of xanthelasma I looked online for someone to treat my xanthelasma ( fatty deposits top and bottom of both my eyes) i rang Spire Hartswood hospital because i read good reviews about Mr Chawla, i made a consultation appointment with Mr Chawla and was escorted into his room by Jenny his assistant, who was charming, after my examination Mr Chawla was lovely, kind and answered any enquiries or concerns i had. I had my excision at westlands mc and again Jenny kept me calm, and the wonderful Mr chawla was informative and gentle as he did the procedure.. i cant thank both of them enough for seeing me through this and recommend them very highly.. thank you .. both eyes are so much better and healing very well..

A thoroughly pleasant and professional experience from start to finish. From the initial consultation through to the follow up meeting after my operations, I was put at ease and kept informed throughout with opportunities to ask questions and engage with the consultant and his team. Everything that I was told or was promised happened with the result of my now having near perfect sight (apart from having to use reading glasses), which is a major improvement from my pre-operation period. To conclude, I would most certainly recommend the services of Mr Chawla and his team as from my experience, a patient will be treated with civility, understanding as well as being informed of what to expect during a course of treatment which assists in the management of expectations and places the patient totally at ease.
