I thought that Gidon was very welcoming, open and warm.
In terms of providing me with answers about the issue, he was clear, precise and explained everything in full, as well as being happy to answer any questions.
He was also open to the idea of offering a second check up to reassure me of any lingering doubts over the reliability of the ultrasound process.

Hi all,
I was pleased to have met Dr.Gidon Ellis and all the nurses and rest of the staff at Royal Free Hospital.
It’s been a tough time for me, although it would be tougher if you were not such great professionals, all of you. I would recommend anyone who needed to have a 4mm stone removed from a duplex kidney to have it done by Dr.Ellis.

Mr Ellis greeted me with a broad smile and listened attentively to my case. He took time to explain what he thought was happening to me using diagrams as well as showing me on the screen. At no time did I hesitate to move forwards with his suggested course of action. He is someone who you can trust to have your best interests at heart. He is also very thorough in his diagnosis.

Mr Gidon Ellis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
He has a broad general urology practice with specialist interests in kidney stones, male lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and laser prostate surgery (HoLEP). He also specialises in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of urothelial cancers in the bladder and upper urinary tracts.
He is a core member of the bladder cancer, renal cancer and stone MDTs. He has served as faculty member on various national and international workshops and masterclasses in both stone management and HoLEP surgery.
