I found him to be very caring and he fully explained what would happen with my operation. Nothing was too much trouble . I felt totally relaxed and had complete faith in him .

Mr Robertson recently did my hernia operation. Having never had surgery before, I was a little nervous, and Mr Robertson did an excellent job of putting my mind at rest. At the consultation a few weeks before the operation he went through the procedure, explaining what would happen, and pointing out any possible risks involved. He also went through the expected time line with me - how long before I could drive, go back to work etc. I had a list of questions which Mr Robertson took plenty of time to answer fully and carefully. The operation itself went very well. I was pleasantly surprised at how small to scars were (3 cuts, each about half an inch long), and at how quickly I was back on my feet. After two days I didn't need painkillers, and all movement was completely back to normal (not even any twinges) in about a week. I found Mr Robertson (and everyone else at the hospital) to be very caring and professional. Although I thanked Mr Robertson in person, I would like my gratitude to be put on officially record, and for my thanks to be recorded.

My experience of care from Mr Robertson was completely positive. He assessed and prepared me extremely well for surgery and I recovered extremely quickly.

My experience in having a hernia operation recently was very positive. From the pre-op assessment to the care I received on the day of the operation, each of the care staff I was involved with were very professional and informed me of what to expect at various times. The Doctor was very clear on his intentions and spoke to me at length about the procedure and aftercare. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care to any patient.

From start to finish I felt completely at ease and considering my lack of enthusiasm for being inside any hospital I didn't feel at all stressed. I felt informed and any questions I had throughout the process were answered in layman terms without being condescending. I honestly don't think I have any suggestion for any improvement as I felt very comfortable and well looked after. The hospital was clean and I was checked regularly.
