I was greeted and seen very promptly by Mr Birchley. In addition to examining me, he explained very clearly my options and the risks associated with those options. He was cognitive of my medical history and gave me ample opportunity to ask questions. He explained the next steps in my treatment and gave me an approximate time scale for it all. I was very satisfied with my consultation and it has given me a lot of confidence for my future treatment.

Mr Birchley performed a laparoscopic bilateral hernia repair for me. He explained the process clearly at initial consultation, and gave further detail, at post-operative meeting, of what he had found and what he had needed to do for the best outcome. I was very pleased on my return home the day after the surgery to find that I had no pain, only mild discomfort that faded quite quickly, and I am back to normal activities and moving comfortably. I felt confident that I was receiving excellent care.
