In September, I had a tonsillectomy at Nuffield Hospital from Dr. Hari. He was very reassuring and clear in the lead up to my surgery, so I wasn't too anxious upon my operation and was well aware of what to expect post operation. I was prescribed antibiotics for a week, as well as several different painkillers including a mouthwash. As expected, the pain was manageable with the painkillers at first before gradually increasing over the first couple of days. For the first week post-surgery, my throat was very painful, always being at its worst when waking up, before subsiding over the course of the afternoon and increasing in the evening. Dr. Hari advised me that this would happen and so I was prepared and regularly took the painkillers necessary to make it bearable. I was told that after the first 10 days, the pain would decrease and I'd feel better, which proved to be accurate, where I began to be able to do things around the house comfortably. He advised me to withhold from returning to university for at least two weeks, which was definitely the correct amount for optimal recovery and I was well enough to return after these two weeks - with the advice of avoiding busy public spaces to avoid potential infection. Thanks to all of Dr. Hari's clear advice and help I made a full recovery, returning to my usual business after three weeks and rarely needing painkillers during the 3rd week.

I have recently had a tonsillectomy at the Nuffield in Shrewsbury. Sadly, I wasn't given enough medication ( only 3 days ) and it definitely wasn't enough. The prescription should have been for 2 weeks pain relief so perhaps there was a communication breakdown between the nurses who issued the pain relief and Mr Hari. I was readmitted to hospital 6 days later in a state but Mr Hari stepped in and sorted out adequate care, very quickly. This operation is not to be taken lightly and is very painful as an adult. It requires a full 2 weeks recovery. Whilst I've had it done now, I'm not sure I would have gone through with it had I of known how it would feel. That said its done now, healing well and I should have no more tonsil problems. Week 1 = horrific Week 2 = fairly horrific Week 3 = starting to feel better

Was refered to Mr Hari by my GP.for polips in my nose and blocked sinuses. He explained everthing to me - I had a scan and he recomended I had an operation to remove the polips. I had the operation in the Nuffield on 16th July. I went as a day patient and was home at 5pm.I had great care in the Nuffield and by Mr Hari.As soon as I woke up after the operation I could breath through my nose- not having done so for months. I was off work for two weeks but am now completly recovered.

From the initial meeting Mr.Churunal Hari explained what I had, how it happened to me and what surgery he would need to carry out to rectify my problem. He drew a diagram of my throat and the obstruction, along with what surgery would take place. It was in great detail which reassured me. His manner was kind and reassuring. Once I checked into my room at the Nuffield, He came to see me and again, went through the procedure. He also visited me in the recovery room prior to me going back to my room. He visited me again in the afternoon to let me know that the procedure had gone very well. My care by all the nurses was exemplary. Mr. Hari visited me the following day and after examining me - informed me that the procedure had been a success and I was recovering very well. I was able to leave the hospital that evening for home. I can't speak highly enough of the expertise, consideration and care given by Mr. Hari. I would not hesitate in recommending Mr. Hari to others. He is a highly skilled specialist in his field and I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Mr. Hari for taking such good care of me. Most Sincerely. Capt. Adrian Goldsbrough.
