From first diagnosis of bowel cancer, through pre-operation checks, the operation itself and the immediate recovery period everything was done rapidly, efficiently, with care and consideration. Mr Loganathan explained everything clearly and answered all questions in an understandable way. The procedure was "keyhole" done robotically and my recocery period was much quicker than anticipated. Mr Loganathan is clearly a skilled surgeon with mastery of modern techniques. I can find no fault with the service and treatment that I received. Most importantly it probably saved my life. A very sincere thank you to all involved!!!

Very clear and concise when communicating, friendly approachable and answered my questions thoroughly. Contacted my wife immediately after my surgery to update her on the outcome which was very helpful and thoughtful. I felt at ease during consultations and clinics. Did not waver from telling as it was which I think is very necessary. The most difficult thing was dealing with the waiting between scans and getting results, if the length of time could be shortened this would be very positive. Secretary Steph Allen always helpful and delivered what she said she would do. Only negative thing. The letter which was sent asking me to take part in the survey spelt my name incorrectly. It seems to be a Sheffield thing and it happens quite often. Nonetheless in a hospital setting very important to get the correct patient.

Very pleasant and patient manor. He took his time to explain step by step my treatment plan and always took the time to answer my questions. He always came across as very sincere and wanting to do the best for me. I can not thank him and his team enough for the excellent care they gave me.

I felt myself so priviledged to be able to have Robotic Surgery for my bowel resection. Everything went well and I recieved excellent care afterwards. Mr Loganathan was so helpful and understanding. Thankyou

Mr. Loganathan performed my recent colostomy operation by robotic surgery. It was done at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital because of the robot machine being there but I was transferred to the NGH to continue my recovery. The operation and its aftermath were much less painful than I had expected and I am making steady recovery progress - undoubtedly as a result of Mr. Loganathan's expertise and the excellent care I received at both hospitals, especially Chesterman at the NGH. I was generally kept well informed on what was happening, indeed there was so much info on diet after the operation that some of it conflicted each other! The only constructive criticism I can offer is that treatment seems to be delayed at the interface between NGH and Weston Park Hospital when both are involved - at the beginning it was nearly three months between diagnosis of my cancer and preliminary chemoradiotherapy treatment starting at Weston Park (three weeks for my cousin recently similarly diagnosed in the North-East with all the treatment happening in the same hospital in Middlesbrough).
