The standard of care was excellent throughout. The diagnosis and treatment options were very clearly explained and I was able to ask all the questions I wanted and received very full answers. In hospital I was visited regularly on the ward by Mr Loganathan after the operation and he kept a close eye on my progress. I particularly appreciated that he rang my wife soon after the operation to let her know the outcome. I developed complications in hospital after the surgery and again following discharge, but at all times Mr Loganathan was reassuring and quick to identify ways to help me recover. I was very impressed by the quality of the colorectal team in general and Mr Loganathan in particular.

It is said that the NHS is broken. This has not been my experience at all. From the start (noticed blood in my poo on 7th February 2024) to today (5/7/22024 - 7 weeks post op) my treatment has been exemplary. My GP was brilliant and acted quickly; I was referred to Mr Loganathan’s team. From the very first meeting Mr Loganathan filled me with confidence. His manner was approachable, his explanations understandable and his kindness much appreciated. The fact that I seem to have made such a good recovery I put 100% down to Mr Loganathan’s (and his team’s) expertise. I think the positive attitude he instilled in me may have helped. What I appreciated more anything was that he took the trouble to phone me with my re-assuring test results a week ahead of my booked appointment knowing that I had to go to a very distressing funeral the following day. His going the extra mile marks him out to deserve all the accolades I have read in his other reviews.

A surgeon who listened and explained in a kind and thoughtful way, it made the experience a great deal easier, would recommend the way he deals with patients, and a successful out come , nothing he could have been better.

I was extremely pleased to have been allocated Mr Loganathan for my surgery. He is a kind, considerate caring surgeon who takes his time with patients to fully explain everything in an easily understandable way. From start to finish, I was treated by everyone in theatre, during surgery and afterwards with kindness and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. I have no complaints whatsoever about my care and treatment. The only slightly negative comment I would like to make is the “somebody will call you” in between stages of my referral and tests left me anxious about missing a call, as phone calls are made with withheld numbers. No messages were left on my phone so it was impossible to call back. Otherwise it was all perfect.
