Mr Currie was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. There aren’t any suggestions I could make about how he could improve to give even greater care. He explained everything clearly, answered my questions fully and I had confidence that although my surgery could be complex he would do his best to ensure I was able to receive the outcome I hoped for, if safe to do so. I met him on the morning of my surgery and he visited me on the ward post-operatively, despite a busy day in theatre and it being late in the evening. He even took the time to call my husband whilst I was in recovery to let him know that everything had gone well. After his review the following morning and another opportunity to ask any questions I was able to be discharged at tea time. I’m now a week post-surgery, recovering really well at home and extremely grateful for Mr Currie’s excellent care.

i’ve recently undergone Bariatric bypass surgery with Mr Currie and his team, when I first met Mr Currie he was so welcoming and reassuring that everything was going to go well making me feel at ease and less worried about my operation he also explained fully what was going to happen and made sure that I understood the procedure that was going to happen that day and asked me if I wanted to ask him any questions which I did and he answered them and also listen to me with kindness when I told him my situation which had got me into needing this sort of surgery. I felt I was safe in his hands. when I met is anaesthetist he also was very explanatory with what was going to happen and made me feel very at ease telling me that he was going to really look after me and make sure I had lots of sickness relief and painkillers so I felt as comfortable as I could after the operation which really put my mind to tease I felt very safe to be in his hands also asked me if I had any questions I wanted to ask and when I did, he explained everything thoroughly to me. my experience of my care with Mr Currie and his team was overwhelming as I felt so protected by them so looked after and when I was discharged from hospital, I was given a number where I could contact them any time for advice or if I needed to go back into hospital for any reason to call them and they would immediately be on call to look after me, amazing wonderful team thank you to all of you .

Mr Currie did a grand job of removing my errant gallbladder. I have very little scarring already, just 5 weeks post-op. I can eat what I like. Thank you, Mr Currie!
