Having had both hips replaced at Ysbyty Gwynedd by Mr Azam has given me a new lease of life, no stooped back ,no back pain and I am able to resume normal activity. The care given to me during my stay at the hospital by ALL the staff I came to contact with was excellent. The follow up appointment I had today was very good especially under the trying conditions that prevail these days.

Mr Azam was attentive, listening and very professional. He put my mind at ease, explaining everything that was going to happen. I would highly recommend Mr Azam. Following my operation I visited Mr Azam at hospital, after six weeks, he examined me again, and gave me helpful advice about recovery and timescales.

Mr Azam did a fantastic job on both my knees, he has certainly given me a new lesae of life. Because of his hard work and dedication I felt a duty to him to fulfill my part of the deal and work hard on my rehabilitation. Apart from his skills as a surgeon, he has a lovely 'bedside' manner and made me feel comfortable with what was happening. In clinic he had obviously read my notes before speaking to me. All my questions were answered with a clear explanation. He was always very pleasant and seem to have plenty of time for me. He appears to be a very calm and unassuming person. I would certainly recommend him to another patient.

After 2 years being passed from one department to another I have today seen Mr Azam, and I have nothing but praise for him. His manner was reasuring and proffesional, I trust him fully and look forward to returning to a normal life after a hip replacement.
