I waited three and a half years from when I first saw my GP with what was already a problematic hip. I eventually saw Mr Azam and was reassured by bis manner and treatment; he inspired confidence in his ability to deal with what had become a serious problem. The surgery went well and I was only kept in hospital because of low blood pressure which is normal for me anyway. The immediate relief from pain was blissful and use of painkillers was unnecessary within two days of leaving hospital. Mr Azam came to see me after surgery and fully informed me about the procedure. Also, at the post operative appointment, I was shown the before and after X-rays and reassured about some concerns I had about time scales for recovery. Thank you Mr Azam - you did a great job and my life is enhanced as a result.

Pre-op and post op consultation were excellent , informative and caring attitude from consultant and all clinic staff. Care at Enlli ward was also excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Post op care at the physio department at Stanley Hospital Caergybi has also been faultless. Enthusiastic and very supportive physiotherapists , offering advice and answering all questions. All concerned with my op and care at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Ysbyty Stanley have helped my recovery . Diolch yn fawr/Many thanks

Mr Azam has done a really good job with my right knee replacement surgery. He showed me yesterday how he was able to realign my right leg during surgery. Even after six weeks since the operation I feel I am walking a lot better than before surgery. I look forward to seeing Mr Azam in 12 months time.
