The surgeon was very friendly and listened to me. He reassured me on a professional but also personal level that made me feel comfortable and at ease. I would gladly speak with him again if my problem worsens.

I have just come out of a period at Whipps Cross where I had a complicated appendicitis. Dr Alex, was professional open and honest throughout and I can only applaud him for the care he and his team provided me. It was reassuring to know I would have daily updates and that he was on top of everything. A great professional and anyone who is treated by him should consider themselves lucky. William

I write this on behalf of my family, for our brother who has Downs syndrome (age 53). It was a major operation for our brother (who is non-verbal), the family were nervous about the whole process and concerned about how our brother would deal with the procedure. Mr Hotouras explained the procedure and tried to reassure us, that our brother was in good hands. Throughout our brothers stay in hospital, Mr Hotouras checked on him regularly, engaging with him with high-fives, acknowledging him, even though our brother understood very little. Mr Hotouras shows compassion, empathy, in a professional manner. During recovering at home Mr Hotouras, has reassured us that we could contact him if we had any concerns, this put our minds at rest knowing there was someone to talk to. The family are grateful for the high standards Mr Hotouras has demonstrated. We would recommend Mr Hotouras to anyone who needed his services. Thank you to Mr Hotouras, and his team at Whipps Cross.
