Adrian fairbank is a highly qualified,renowned knee specialist who performed what for him was a minor procedure.However,I have been in pain for almost a year,and had minor knee surgery on his recommendation.From the moment I came round at Parkside hospital,Wimbledon,the pain has gone.I am now recuperating and feel absolutely fine. Writing this review feels slightly ridiculous--he is a top specialist who has been recommended by friends in the medical profession,and also by people treated by him.

I felt in very safe hands with Mr Fairbank. He clearly knows everything there is to know about knees! and my physio tells me the post operative work she sees from him is a cut above others. My operation seems to have been a complete success. The advice I received from both Mr Fairbank and his PA was excellent, as was their response times.

Mr Fairbank is an exceptional surgeon. I have two unicompartmental knee replacements and due to mr Fairbank's considerable expertise, the outcome could not have been better. I received courteous, sympathetic and sound advice. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Mr Fairbank. Also, he is a thoroughly nice gentleman.

I had my nonexistent ACL replaced with hamstring tissue and a clean up of the damaged cartiladge and meniscus. Adrian appeared to understand the issues and was able to act quickly to perform the surgery. Post surgery there was very little swelling and I was off the painkillers quickly and able to ditch the crutches after a week (with care). Two of my colleagues had used Adrian for similar knee operations, both with very positive experiences. On the first appointment I was able to have the (unsceduled) MRI scan in a room next door to his office - no messing around going elsewhere. The treatment all came within the limits of my health insurance, so only the excess to pay. The nusing care at Parkside was also very good - although make sure they send down the appointment card for the post-op xray to avoid hanging around. I feel great about the surgery and building back confidence in the knee. Overall I would recommend you have the surgery if thinking about it and based on my experience, Adrian would be a good choice.
