I was very concerned about a rapid deterioration in the vision in my right eye and after very prompt responses in the fast track service I found myself at Seacroft Hospital talking to Mr Carrim. He carefully and clearly explained what he could do in terms of treating my wet age related macular degeneration. Mr Carrim shared all of the test results including access to the photographs with me and took great pains to make sure I understood what was proposed in terms of treatment. At all times he was courteous and unhurried. What could have been a frightening and intimidating experience turned out to be informative and very interesting. The procedure itself was brief, painless and exactly as described. I have complete confidence in Mr Carrim and have every hope of making very good progress under his care.

As a 27 year old At a very scary time when loosing my vision dr Carrim listened and helped me quickly and professionally. He was approachable and although such a busy man never rushed me into any decision. I can't speak highly enough of this doctor. I went through plenty before I found this one and I would pay to continue to be under his care. I am hoping my diabetes retinopathy continues to stabilise and if I need another vitrectomy it will go as well as the last one with dr Carrim.

Usually I am not given to writing reviews or surveys about anything other than poor service or value, but in this case I felt compelled to put pen to paper concerning the amazing care given by Dr Zia Carrim at Jimmy's in Leeds. Dr Carrim goes above and beyond any treatment and care levels you might expect. His attention to detail and expertise in his field is exceptional. Through persistence he diagnosed problems in my left eye [detached retina] that others couldn't see due to the amount of fluid build up within the eye. Following an operation the same day of my initial visit, he caught some subsequent problems that others may have missed. He remembered me by name at all times even in passing in the hospital and always showed genuine care throughout my time as a patient. If I have any problems in the future I will ask for Dr Carrim specifically!
